ABOUT THE COVER: Nechasin, pronounced (nay-Cha-seen), means "to be watchful" in the Lenape-Delaware language. A 21st century sculpture of an 18th century culture created by Frank and Lally House. This mixed media sculpture is a composite of carved wood covered with mosaic bone and ivory. The body is of willow bough framework coverd with cotton batting and linen. The figure, clothing, personal articles and accoutrements exhibit individuality, yet the work of each artist is in harmony, perfectly blending their distinctive creative techniques.
